The Best time to plant Kikuyu grass seed is when ground temps are at 60 F and daytime temps need to be in the 70’s F This is for growing AZ-1 and Whittet. Check out my web site at

→ Sow these varieties when ground temperatures are consistently 23 degrees or more. Months of October until February are appropriate for cooler climates. For warmer climates these varieties could be sown 12 months of the year (ie far North Queensland, Northern Territory, etc).
