When is the best time to receive academic advising during my time as a Communication major at KSU?
Most advising is done a few weeks prior to priority registration each fall and spring semester. Announcements are made in your Communication classes suggesting that you sign up for an appointment on your advisor’s door. Dates announcing upcoming advising periods may also be found on the department web site labeled Important Advising Dates. If you should need advising outside that designated time period, however, contact your assigned advisor by e-mail or phone to make an appointment. Due to the heavy load of advising each faculty member has, advising appointments are not only appreciated, they are necessary.
