I would recommend that you plant them middle to end of May and definitely no later than the end of June. Plants should preferably be from pot size 4 inch upward and not pot bound. Plant them 1 1/2 inches deeper than they are in the pot. Some potting compost can be mixed with surrounding soil to acclimatise them to the new conditions.
