When is the best time to feed my cats?
We had the same type of problem. Our cats (2) would continually stratch at the door in the morning and drive us wild until we would get up. It got to be their favorite game waking up the humans in the house until they were fed! We decided to feed them once a day, same time every day, (around 5 p.m.) and made sure they had enough to last them for 24 hours. It worked for us and they stopped their morning routine. Here’s another suggestion I read about from a desperate-sounding cat owner, which made me laugh. She decided to have the vacuum cleaner set up by the door inside her room as she slept. When her cats started their mournful howling and scratching by the door in the morning, she was ready for them and turned the vacuum cleaner on full blast and left it on for awhile. She only had to do this twice and her sleep was restored. Good luck with your cats!
