When is the best time to apply Kerb*, Menace*, Precis* or Quaver* Flo?
The oilseed rape plant must have three true leaves before propyzamide is applied. Best control is achieved by treating small black-grass plants, before they begin to tiller. Where conditions are still relatively warm, or where the population is known to contain resistant black-grass plants, always apply the highest recommended dose of propyzamide. Highest levels of control are achieved from applications to moist soil and when soil temperatures are declining. Recent independent trials work, undertaken by ADAS Boxworth, has shown very good results from applying propyzamide in November and December.
