When is the best time for cleaning and preparing greenhouses for spring growing?
October is a great month to prepare greenhouses for spring growing, especially the application of disinfectants. Zero-tol, Oxidate and Green Shield are excellent products for greenhouse cleaning. Many fungi overwinter in the spore form, Zero-tol and Oxidate kill these spores and with fewer or no host plants present to propagate the fungi, the spores are all that remain. You can really prevent serious fungal problems, starting next spring.
