When is the best time for a menstruating woman to start Stage 2?
It is recommended to begin the HCG therapy at least 10 days before your period starts or right after you finish your cycle. You must stop the injection as soon as your period begins. When you notice only a small amount of spotting, you may resume the injections. Taking the injection while on your period may cause heavy bleeding which can lead to temporary iron deficiency anemia. Please note, some women may be late or skip their period all together, this is a result of a slight increase in hormone and adrenal output.Note to child bearing women; please use some form of birth control while taking HCG therapy, as it is used in the medical arena for stimulating fertility.
