The IDEAL time for you to exercise is in the late afternoon, around 4 or 5. This is because your metabolism is already higher due to your activity throught the day, so your exercise is going to be more effective! You COULD do it at night, but many people find this will mess with their sleep cycle. Once you exercise, it takes a few hours for your body to return to its normal state, so by the time you exercise at say 5pm, around 8 or 9pm (or later) you will be able to fall asleep normally. Working out in the late afternoon also helps you sleep better at night! You can also exercise in the morning if you like, but you wil be basically “cold starting” your system. In other words. You just get up out of bed and you go straight into lifting weights or cardio- your body is going to have a harder time getting to the level you need to be in order to maximize the benfits of your exercise.
