When is the best opportunity to contact a legislator or state official on behalf of WMU?
In terms of timing, it is always best to talk to a legislator as close to the decision making time as possible. Given that it is very very hard to predict, we recommend you contact your legislator early and often. Remember to be careful not to get the reputation of being considered a pest. It is also very good to contact them when they are in their legislative district. Legislators DO listen to what their constituents say. It is their reputation with YOU, the voter, that they covet the most.
