When is Murray gonna stop choking in the big games?
I think you’re just over-estimating Murray’s talent in a way that makes him seem like he’s choking, when in fact he’s just losing. Sometimes that happens. Federer didn’t choke in the Wimbledon final last year, Nadal just beat him. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to a guy who outplays you. In Andy Murray’s case, he was definitely a bit jittery in the US Open final, but that’s really not a surprise, Djokovic had the same problem a year earlier. Murray really never had a chance to win this tournament. I’m sorry to say that, but it’s true. Even with Nadal out, Andy Murray just isn’t a very good claycourt player. He moves well, but he hasn’t learned to maneuver on the slippery clay yet. He just doesn’t have a claycourt game yet. His game is much more suited for hardcourts or grass, faster surfaces where the great baseline players can unleash crushing groundstrokes.
