If this is your only stroller and you have a newborn, it might be nice to have a car seat adapter. We ended up with a Peg Perego stroller for shopping and in town and a jogging stroller for around our neighborhood (hills, no sidewalks…). Our Peg Perego bucket infant seat clicked into the stroller. When my son was a newborn until about three or four months old, this feature was VERY handy. I could pop him out of the car and into the stroller without having to disturb him too much. It’s a bit of a hassel to take them out of the harness and strap them into another. If this adapter you are talking about is not very easy to use, then it might not be worth it though. Have you tried one in the store? That’s always a nice thing to do. As for the safety of it, the Baby Jogger Performance has a 5-point harness, which is important for putting younger babies in a stroller. This stroller also has a padded reclining seatback, which is also nice for younger babies. I don’t see why you would not be
