I got engaged in December and out wedding date is set for June 12, 2010. So we have just under a year and a half to go now. I told my MOH right away only because I knew for sure that I wanted her to be my MOH since we have been best friends since we were about 13 or 14. And my fiance asked his brother right away to be Best Man because he’s his brother, so that was easy. But we haven’t told anyone who our bridesmaids or groomsmen will be because we aren’t completely sure yet. We want to wait until closer to the wedding to make sure we are still sure of our decisions. If you have lots of very close long time friends that you are sure you will be close with still by the time of the wedding then there’s nothing wrong with asking them now. But if you are still undecided then I suggest waiting until this Fall – a year from the wedding. Or even 8 months til the wedding. That still gives plenty of time for them to help with the wedding. You don’t really get down to the heavy duty planning unti
