Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated on the end of month of Ramzan and on the first day of month of Shavval. Ramzan is the ninth month on the Muslim (Hijri) calendar and Shavval is the tenth month. The fast is broken after sighting the new moon of the first day of Shawwal.
