Kevin Hart (born July 3, 1980) is an American actor and comedian, originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After winning a few contests, he quit his job as a shoe salesman and embarked on a career in comedy. His performance in big shows has led him to be in feature films such as Paper Soldiers, Scary Movie 3, Along Came Polly, and Scary Movie 4. Hart served as writer, co-executive producer and star of the 2004 ABC sitcom The Big House. In 2005 he won a Platinum Mic Viewers Choice Award at the BET Comedy Awards. He is also 5 feet 4 1/2 inches tall. He has also starred in his own half-hour special on Comedy Central. In 2005, his daughter Heaven Lee (as in Heavenly) Hart was born. As revealed on the commentary for The 40-Year-Old Virgin, he half-jokingly commented that he doesn’t want her to “become a stripper.” On October 8, 2007, Hendrix Hart, a son, was born.
