When is Christingle with the candle in an orange with the ribbon etc and ?
The orange represents the world. The red ribbon which is wrapped around the orange represents the blood of Christ. The candle represents Jesus, the light of the world. Christingles which I have made have also had four cocktail sticks with sweets/dried fruit on them stuck into the orange. The sweets/dried fruit represent the good gifts on the earth and the fact that there are four of them represents either the four corners of the earth or the four seasons.
