When is another version of the Stephen King story Children of the Corn planned?
Growing up in rural Wisconsin, mostly Fennimore and Wild Rose, I’ve always been surrounded by corn fields and creepy old farm land. The Children of the Corn was a Halloween favorite, right around harvest time when the stalks of corn were drying out. We’d have big Halloween parties and watch a few of them and then go out into the fields to wonder around and scare the hell out of the each other. I wish I could say that I am excited about seeing my favorite creepy little country kids coming back, but I just can’t. The Weinstein Company has produced some great films, Inglorious Bastards is clearly leaving its mark in film history with its numbers and Piranha 3D is making some noise before it hits theaters in 2010. However, the reviews for the Halloween remakes are not as some may have expected. I’m a little worried that this remake and reboot thing is going to get much worse before it gets better.
