When is an exterior test chamber the preferred option for field testing?
An exterior test chamber is primarily utilized when the building is constructed with a “cavity wall” condition. For this type of wall construction, an exterior chamber arrangement is the best way to create a pressure differential across the test specimen. An exterior chamber can also be used when building conditions, such as floor slabs or columns, may interfere with the construction of an interior chamber.
