Prescribing OxyContin is considered a criminal activity if any of the following occurs: • A doctor fraudulently prescribes OxyContin to abusers for money. • A pharmacist illegally fills an abuser’s prescription, or forges prescriptions for abusers. • Abusers steal prescription pads, and then write their own forged prescriptions. • Dealers, or abusers, burglarize pharmacies.
