When iron is use full than gold then why gold is considered more valuable?
Iron is found in abundance in earth’s crust but,it’s not the case for Gold.The extraction of gold is a tedious process and it comes out of earth in extreme places which has previous history of any volcanic activities.Gold is just like an inert element.It’s not vulnerable to rusting or any other reaction or acid attacks but,it’s tensile strength is very very less as compared to iron. . Now “Valuable” is a relative word.It depends on the person what he values.For an ironsmith or blacksmith it’s Iron and for a goldsmith it’s “gold”.Gold is luxury while as iron is a basic need.Human civilization can survive without gold. but without iron,I can’t imagine a day.
Valuable is a tricky term. I would say that iron is more valuable than gold, if for example, society had to collectively pick only one to have. However, gold is more EXPENSIVE, simply because it is rare (compounded with its many uses). It is the same reason all other rare elements are valuable. At one point in history, salt was more expensive than gold, because salt was more useful and harder to come by…
