When installing Vista, will Vista delete all my files, programs and stuff?

If you have a certain previous version of Windows, you can upgrade to Vista without losing anything. Just load the Windows Vista install disc and choose “Upgrade” when you are prompted for what kind of install you want. If the “Upgrade” option is grayed out, you must backup your files and do a full installation. Your programs might have to be reinstalled, but your music, documents, other crap can just be copy/pasted back into Vista. The Vista upgrade adviser can help you determine what version of Vista you need. If it says to get Home Basic, however, just get Home Premium. Basic is a waste of money.
