When I use my SCWD, I notice that the outlets dont completely restrict the flow of water when in the closed position. Is there something wrong with my SCWD?
No. The SCWD was designed and manufactured to allow a certain amount of water to pass even when the outlet is in the closed position. Even with good filtration, there is always a chance that small sand granules or debris may find its way to the SCWD. This minimal clearance was designed into the product to allow for small particulate to pass through without impeding operation and reliability.
