Since the remote uses discrete commands for power on and power off, you need to press different buttons to program the two different commands when programming the macro. The owner’s manual instructs you to press the Mute button rather than the Power button while programming the macro. However, the Mute button programs only the Power On command. To program the Power Off command, press the Power Off button while programming the macro.
