This has to do with the default character set assigned as English when creating a web page with FrontPage. Because FrontPage 2.0, 97, 98 and Express garble Japanese text upon saving, we do not recommend using any version of FrontPage for Japanese html creation. We recommend creating web files in a simple text editor such as Notepad for best results. Netscape Gold or Communicator are recommended if you need to create a page without knowledge of html code.
