When the Four-Third to Micro Four Third lens adapter is used, depending on the lens, most lens funtions should work. When any other lens adapter is used, the lens will only operate in a manual mode. All focus and aperture adjustments must be made on the lens. The lens adapters allow you to use older 35 mm manuals lens that generally did not have any electrical connections to the legacy camera it was designed for.
