When I upgrade ShowShifter to a different version how can I save my settings?
You can run SSclean.exe to remove all traces of ShowShifter. SSClean removes ShowShifter and all associated registry settings, so any timed recordings or compression profiles you created using ShowShifter will be lost. Before you run SSClean you might want to keep certain settings, like the TV channel information and IR settings. You can take a copy of the following map files then copy them back into the ShowShifter directory when you reinstall the new version again. The IR settings and TV channel information are kept in the following files: • TV channel Settings = Channels.map (C:\Program Files\Home Media Networks Limited\ShowShifter\Config) • IR Settings = Default.irm (C:\Program Files\Home Media Networks Limited\ShowShifter\Config) The scheduled recordings are stored in the registry under the ‘Events’ key (ShowShifter>Configuration>VideoModule). You can export just the ‘Events’ registry key, then after running SSClean and reinstalling ShowShifter, double-click the ‘Events’ reg file
