When I type a number like $72,523, the calculator gives me 72.00. Whats up with that?
The data fields don’t like anything but digits and decimal points. Other characters (like dollar signs, commas, or percent signs) gum up the works, so enter the quantity $72,123.32 as 72123.32. Apologies to European friends, but for this calculator the radix point is a dot character, not a comma. The first version of the calculator was written for my personal use in 1986, when I gave little consideration to things like bullet-proof input or international representations. This may get fixed someday, but please don’t hold your breath.
