When I try to upload files I get a “permission denied” error. Whats going on?

This probably means that you are trying to upload a file into a directory that you do not have write permissions for. To change the permissions on a directory or file, select the directory in your Control Panel’s File Manager and click “chmod”. From this form you can alter the read/write/execute permissions for the owner, the group, and everyone else (world). Please note: there are certain system directories that you are not allowed to modify.
