The source of the problem is likely to be the parallel port setting. First, reboot your system, especially if you have experienced other systems errors. Then, refer to the “Communication / Printers / Parallel Port Issues” section of these FAQs. Or, your monitor may be in 16-color mode. Make sure the monitor is set to High Color (16-bit) mode. Note the difference between 16-color and 16-bit color. Refer to the previous question for instructions on how to check and change these settings.
