When I try to print a pdf file using the Adobe reader on a PC, the printer LCD screen reads 79.00FE PRINTER ERROR or 49.4C02 SERVICE ERROR or something similar. How do I fix it?
These errors usually occur when the PC sends code to the printer that the printer cannot deal with. When it occurs, the only way to clear the error is to power-cycle the printer (turn it off and back on) and then remove the print job from the printer queue on the PC. That will keep the PC from constantly trying to resend it. If, when you try to remove the printer job it will not delete, reboot the PC before continuing.
