When I try to export my trial balance to the tax program, I receive a message that the tax year is not valid. Why is the tax year invalid?
Tax groupings for a specific year will not be available to export until the tax update for that year has been released, usually in December of the current year. For example, the tax code updates for 2004 were released in December of 2004. If you are using version 3.7, the 2004 tax code updates have already been installed. The 2004 groupings may be added to the trial balance in one of two ways: • Select Trial Balance | Account Groupings | Options | Import from the binder view and browse to the new tax groupings, or • If a tax grouping already exists in the binder, you may run the ProSystem fx Engagement Tax Grouping Update Wizard from the Engagement program group.
