When I try to access the web server running under Windows XP, I get an error, “unable to log on because of an account restriction.” What do I do?
Try using the other names for the local web server to see if you get the same error messages: • http://localhost • http://127.0.0.1 • http://localhost:80 • http://127.0.0.1:80 If the problem persists, then you need to set permissions for the web server to read the desired files and folders. See the article: How to Share and Set Permissions for Folders and Files Using Windows XP.
