When I try to access a proposal in Modify mode, Coeus gives an error message that the Proposal is Locked by Another User. What can I do?
A. If your computer and/or Coeus crashed while you were working on a proposal, Coeus still thinks you are working on the proposal. Typically this lock on the proposal is released 20 minutes after the crash occurred. If, after 20 minutes, you still see this error message, send email to coeus_help@princeton.edu or call 8-7373 and we will contact the database administrator. If your computer and/or Coeus did not crash, then another user is working on the proposal. You can ask your departmental colleagues to find out who is working on it. Q. Coeus seems to be acting really strange and/or slow. A. Have you rebooted your computer lately? If not, reboot your computer and see if that takes care of the problem. It is recommended that you reboot your machine once a day, due to a memory leak problem with this current version of Coeus. Typically I reboot my computer as Im leaving for the day. If Coeus is still slow, send email to coeus_help@princeton.edu or call 8-7373. Q. I forgot my password. A.
