When i switch off my epson c42 printer the cartridge carrier does not return to centre position.?
“when i switch off the printer the “cartridge carrier” moves to the far end” You shouldn’t need to switch it off to change the cartridge. It’s in the correct place switched on too (it doesn’t know you’re trying to change the cartridge). In Printing Preferences go to the Maintenance tab and tell it you wish to change the ink cartridge from there. It will move into the correct place and give you instructions! A word of warning though – Epson inkjets are well known for drying up if you don’t use them much. If this has been out of action for 4 years, I wouldn’t hold much hope for a good print out! Once you’ve changed the cartridge, try cleaning the print heads (probably multiple times) to see what the best printout you can get is. Good luck!
