When i sing high notes my voice strains and sometimes just stops, ive tried nearly everything- please help!?
You are not alone. These problems are typical and common. I can give you some tips, but if you’re serious about singing, it is worth taking vocal lessons. Doing exercises will only make the problem worse if you’re singing incorrectly, so be careful. Here are some basics: Support from the diaphragm. This is a stomach muscle. This gives you more power and takes the strain off your throat. When you inhale your stomach should move, not your chest. This causes you to use more lung capacity. Stand with good posture. This allows proper breathing, too. If you can’t afford voice lessons, join a church choir with a good director. You will tune into the singers around you and should get help from the director. Listen to recordings of trained singers, especially opera (it won’t ruin your style!) and match your tone to theirs. If you’re singing in a band, you have to be extra careful, because loud instruments push you to force your voice. It is so common to see successful singers in bands fall into
