When I Sign Up For OPEN DialogueSM, What Information About Me Becomes Public And What Is Kept Private?
OPEN DialogueSM is an elective, interactive experience; you determine what information is public to others visiting the OPEN DialogueSM Web site. For instance, everything on your Public Profile page is public except for your real name, e-mail address and password. Important information that is visible to other members includes: all questions you’ve asked and answered, people you’ve helped and those who’ve helped you, and the knowledge areas that you post in your Public Profile. OPEN DialogueSM makes this information public so that users can learn about the people that are active in the system, and thus make a more informed decision about the quality of a response. The Public Profile is also shown to encourage networking and community building around common interests.
