When I shutdown vtserver using Ctrl-C, and then try to immediately restart it, vtserver reports that its unable to bind to port 50000. Why is that?

The server, vtserver, communicates with the VTune analyzer through a socket connection on port 50000. When vtserver and all applications launched by vtserver are shut down, the socket connection on the Linux side may take some time to completely close.
