When I run xtefilt, I see error messages about columns missing and cannot compute certain quantities. Whats wrong?
The script xtefilt uses the appidlist that you give it to collect all the columns it lists; then the tool xtederive attempts to calculate a specific set of quantities from those collected columns. If a column is missing, xtederive may not be able to calculate everything. Columns may be missing because the appidlist was incomplete, in which case the user should get a new appidlist by typing “fhelp xtefilt” and using the list at the end of the help. Even with an updated appidlist, certain columns may still be missing for observations which are slews to or from the source, i.e. obsids ending with “A” or “Z”. For slews, a minimum amount of housekeeping data is telemetered, and quantities such as “ELECTRON0”, etc., will be missing. If using realtime data, columns may be missing simply because realtime data is often incomplete. I am getting anomalous spikes in my light-curve RATE file. What’s wrong? This is usually caused by errors in the specified time intervals that are input to the code.
