This has do to with an incomplete or wrong installation of Microsoft’s Data Access components. Please understand that it’s not a bug of VQLog, but the result of a bad configuration of Windows. Anyway I can suggest you do the following: • Install MDAC 2.8 or newer and the latest service pack of JET 4.0. You can download both from Microsoft’s site at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/dataaccess.asp • This should fix the problem in 99% of the cases. However these are some additional informations that could help you understand why this error arises in your computer: • Symptoms: • Very often, if you run the program (VQLog in this case) RIGHT AFTER starting the PC it works OK. • If you run it after having used Word, Excel, Outlook or any other program of Office then the error 3228 appears till you reboot the PC. • It usually happens with computers running Windows 95 or 98 and MS-Office 2000 • Sometimes it’s also reported to start happening after having run Int
