When I run Toast, it says that it can find a CD-Recorder, but CD/DVD SpeedTools is loaded and my CD-Recorder mounts discs on the desktop perfectly – Whats wrong?
A. In addition to having a Toast compatible driver for your drive, Toast needs to recognize the drive and model number itself too. This is because there are many CD/DVD devices out there that have unique firmware traits and/or flaws about them. To compensate for possible issues involving these traits and flaws, Toast must provide individual “write” support for each drive from within its own program. The remedy for this problem is to contact Adaptec/Roxio and ask them for support for your particular CD/DVD model. Back to top ……
