When I run my Balance Sheet report I have a figure labelled previous year adjustment. What does this mean?
The figure represents transactions posted after the year end has been run but with a date prior to the current year. To check which nominal codes make up this balance run the Trial Balance and select the Brought Forward period. Any Profit and Loss nominal codes with a balance will create a Prior Year Adjustment on your Balance Sheet.
