When I receive land use approval by the County, does that guarantee final plan approval by WES?
No. Land use approval and approval by WES are two separate actions. The County applies the requirements of the Zoning and Development Ordinance while WES uses the Rules and Regulations of the Service Districts. These ordinances address similar, but nonetheless different aspects of development. Land use approval is contingent upon meeting the requirements of several agencies. There is no guarantee that those requirements can be met for any specific development application.
