When I read the Young Adult verison of TEotW, there was an extra prologue, Ravens, that wasn in the original TEotW. Whats up with that?

Robert Jordan wrote an extra prologue for the Starscape edition with the main Emond’s Field characters as children. It occurs about eight years before The Eye of the World. We presume that Robert Jordan wanted to start off younger readers with the main characters close to their own age.
