When I load any Microsoft Office programs the Windows Installer attempts to start the installation process?
Yeap this is one of many Microsoft bugs! I had that problem many moons ago. I still have the MS program to solve that problem but when I went to the MS site, it was discontinued. I found it at the Major Geek’s site. I downloaded it and ran it to make sure it was the same one. Here is the URL: http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_… It doesn’t uninstall anything but it cleans out the Windows Installer. Some people just disable the Windows Installer service when they encounter this problem but that is risky. Windows Updates needs the Installer to keep your computer from the various threats.
