When I leave my Sansa Connect attached to the PC for a long period of time, it doesn’t seem to charge at all. What is going on?
SanDisk recommends using the AC charger to recharge the Connect battery. The AC charger has a 1 amp max output, which provides much better charging ability than a USB port. Also, most Windows XP PCs will cut power to the USB ports by default when sleeping. If you’re computer is configured to sleep during periods of inactivity, it is likely shutting power off on the USB bus. You can modify your power settings on your PC to prevent this.
