When I have the VBdemo program loaded into a Visual Basic environment and try to run, I get an error 7. What is this error?
The error 7 is returned by Visual Basic and is an “out of memory” error. Unfortunately, Visual Basic does not differentiate whether the “out of memory” condition is attributable to the host or the Kofax board. Chances are the problem is due to the board not having enough memory for ImageControls to run properly. The ImageControls operating system loaded onto the board requires 600K of on-board RAM. Older boards like the KF-9200, only have 2 MB of RAM memory and the KF-9210& KF-7300 both have 3 MB of memory. We recommend using the KF-9250board with at least 6 MB and if you are going to utilize some of the image processing functions such as Rotation, Deskew, Deshading, etc.then we recommend the KF-9275 board with at least 10 MB of memory.
