When I get bored I like to watch WoW videos, but Quicktime is crap! Can you help me?
Haha yes, Quicktime does have its flaws. Personally, I prefer Windows Media Player to Quicktime, but you have plenty of options. Various plug-ins are available to download for Quicktime, e.g. to play .wmv files. However, I would strongly recommend downloading a program called VLC, or Video Lan Player. It is an extremely lightweight media player, and it is absolutely fantastic! It can play almost any video in existence, and has virtually no codec restrictions! It is also available for Windows, and Id strongly recommend it no matter which platform you are using. If for some reason you don’t want to get VLC, and are intent on using Quicktime, I recommend an App called MediaInfo Mac (a Windows version may exist). It will tell you all the information about a video file you could possibly want, including all the codecs used, when it was encoded, and even what program was used. It’s really overkill, but it should help you find a missing codec easily.
