When i first bring my kitten home?
My approach is kind of different to other peoples’. When I got my two kittens safely home, I put them into the kitchen with their food, litter box and a temporary bed and left them. I didn’t want to scare or force them into anything too suddenly, so I just left them for a couple of hours to explore. All of my doors were open (apart from upstairs, because I gradually introduced them to the upstairs part of the house) and I sat down and didn’t pay them any attention. It’s best they get used to the smells and the atmosphere for the first couple of weeks, and, when they’re ready, they’ll come up to you and demand lots of attention. Make sure that you have the same food that your breeder has fed them (as they’ll get stomach aches and the runnies if they don’t have the correct one) and put that out for them in a separate bowl to the water.
