When I encrypt a shortcut using Private File(tm) for Windows, I can find the encrypted file. Where does the encrypted file get placed?

If the ‘Encrypt originals instead of shortcuts’ under the File menu -> ‘Encryption Options’ -> ‘Encryption’ is checked and the ‘Destination’ is set to ‘Same folder as original’, the encrypted file will be placed in the same folder as the original file, not the shortcut folder.
