As of Quicken 2005, Quicken no longer fully supports the QIF file extension. And as of Quicken 2006, Quicken no longer supports the QIF file extension at all. If you have a version of Quicken prior to 2005, you can still down load the QIF file for use with Quicken. Newer versions will not be able to correctly interpret data downloaded from ViaConnect. This occurs with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5, Service Pack 1. It should be fixed with Service Pack 2. Until then, use the following as temporary fix: When the File Download Box pops up, click “Open this file from its current location.” Use Notepad to open file, then click “File” then “Save As.” You can save to any location at this point.
