when I am running Banner, I sometimes have problems connecting to WebConnect. What can I do?
Sometimes there is a conflict between OC-WebConnect and Banner System software (probably caused by Java) when a customer runs Banner software, and then attempts to connect to OC-WebConnect. If you are using Banner and are experiencing any issues, perform this test. Restart your computer, and before running any other application, connect to DataLink. This usually works. If you run Banner software first, and then attempt to connect to DataLink, the connection will fail. Your institution’s desktop support team needs to examine this closely to determine the cause of the conflict if running OC-WebConnect first is not a suitable solution.
